This has been way too long since doing this, and that's my bad. There's plenty of love to be spread on any given Monday, so let's go ahead and spread it!!

• Kyle Goon gives a recap on Saturday's basketball scrimmage over at the Aggieville Blog, which I guess will soon be his alone once he stops splitting carries with the old guy...
• Speaking of the old guy, Tony Jones is still absolutely killing it with USU football coverage, painful as it may be to see him tweeting about Ute basketball. But let's be honest, we all know where his heart still is with basketball in the Beehive State. Tony still cranked out two separate stories in the past few days on USU cornerbacks Nevin Lawson and Will Davis. He also recapped Saturday's 41-7 win over New Mexico State.
• Brad Rock over at the Deseret News talks about two different groups of Aggies heading in very different directions.
• Kraig Williams gives his own recap of Saturday's blowout, also for the D-News.
• And don't forget about Tavin Stucki, giving his take on the win over NMSU.
• Utah State Hockey opened its home schedule this past weekend with a pair of wins over Arizona State. Sean O'Sullivan gives the rundown for The Utah Statesman on the hockey team's 8-0 start to the season.
• The AggieZone makes its debut with a detailed recap of all the homecoming week festivities.
• Chris Cooley is a Washington Redskin once again!
• Nick Diaz was named the WAC's Special Teams Player of the Week after nailing a pair of long field goals on Saturday.
• Oscar Molina-Sanchez might be out with injury, but that didn't keep Megan Allen from telling his story for USU Athletics Media Relations.

Injuries starting to take their blows

All things considered, Utah State has been pretty fortunate when it comes to battling the injury bug so far this football season. That honeymoon seems to be officially over now though. And even basketball might have some bad news of its own. Let's run down the blows that injuries have had so far...

ADAM KENNEDY
We all saw the injury in the Southern Utah game, and at the time it looked to be something at least mildly serious. Then AFK kinda shocked us by being back in action already against Utah and again against Wisconsin. Seemed like everything was fine and dandy, right?

Apparently that was wrong. Kennedy's hurt, bad enough that the injury could be season-ending as Tony Jones reported. In his place, Devonta Glover-Wright is apparently going to be the backup quarterback moving forward. He played it at the junior college level and the coaches apparently believe he can get the job done. Hopefully he never needs to though. That Keeton kid ain't bad.

Preseason Previews and Vibes, Part 2: Offense

Part 2 of 4: Offense

Moving on with the preview, you may notice that this preview has changed from a three-part series to four. That's because there's more to making a great football team than just offense, defense and special teams. What is that fourth aspect? Well, if you don't know already, you'll find out by Wednesday at the latest. For now though, let's preview the offense.

QUARTERBACKS
It took Brent Guy 34 games before he got to five wins at USU... Adam Kennedy pretty much started out 5-0, and he's going to be the backup this season. Got your head wrapped around that?

Chuckie Keeton showed how good he was throughout plenty of the first half of last season before getting injured, where Kennedy stepped in and kept things going as strong as ever. Now, with a full offseason of work and a new offensive coordinator who looks like he's open to actually throwing downfield, Keeton looks ready to dominate. Really both guys look like they could be all-WAC quarterbacks this year, but Keeton has the edge, and if you're beating out a potential all-WAC guy for a starting job, you're probably doing something right.

Preseason vibe: Stoked as hell, with maybe a sprinkle of all-time great status about to happen
